Rocky Mountain National Park

The thunderstorms roll in quickly over the Rocky Mountains, especially way up here at the continental divide. There's no telling what's coming until it's on top of you! So while we started off in sunny weather, we were chased off the mountain side by a looming thunderstorm that arrived and overtook the blue skies in minutes.



Since a good portion of the trail was bare of trees, we didn't want to take any chances of being a magnet for lightning!
